many years, a vital element in Parisian life
which it enhances thanks to its service of information and reservations
for hotels, restaurants,
hall rentals,business and company dinners, floor show dinners,
dinner-cruises, and in organising banquets, receptions and seminars .
A little history
Created in 1972 by Mr. Jean Paul Baudecroux, current CEO of
NRJ radio,
when he was 20 years old, this service, unique in France, came
to the aid of night-lovers looking
for a restaurant, a dinner-show, or discotheque.
In this poetic era when telephone numbers still had the delightful
quality of reflecting the name of
their area, customers could thus dial ELY.12.12. to hear
a warm voice at the other end of the line
advising them, without charge, as to the establishment best suited
to their taste.
This Exchange, taken over in 1988 by Mr. Teboul, advertising
agent for restaurants and cabarets
for the guides,"l'Officiel des Spectacles" and "Pariscope",
never ceased to evolve and progress.
More services were created, discount price reservations were
offered, up to 30% off
(depending on the period) in more than 2000 2 to 4-star hotels
in Paris , French-Riviera and
other departments in France.
Speedy service
Ever since it began, the motto of the Exchange has remained:
"Free - Fast - Efficient."
If, for hotel or restaurant
reservations waiting is nonexistent, for any request for information
or quotations for seminars
or banquets anywhere
in France, the fax reply will be made, without
exception, in the next 10 minutes.
ELY.12.12 works with a number of selected members in France.
ELY.12.12 has, with its latest service "S.O.S REVEILLONS"
launched in '96, succeeded with several hundreds of calls, in filling in last-minute cancellations
by Parisian restaurants.
